About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our management team as a Director of Treasury Management. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in shaping the financial future of the Government of Yukon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the government's treasury function, ensuring the efficient management of banking, cash, merchant, investment, and borrowing activities.
  • Develop and implement strategic financial plans, including financial modeling, forecasting, and risk assessment.
  • Manage banking arrangements and treasury management functions, including cash, merchant services, borrowing, and money market investments.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to senior management on financial matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with government-wide financial objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in finance, accounting, commerce, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in treasury management, financial analysis, and banking operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Professional financial designations, such as CPA, CFA, CIM, or FCSI, would be an asset.
