About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medication Care Partner to join our team at Sienna Senior Living. As a Medication Care Partner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Administration: Administer medication to residents in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures.
  • Support Plan Implementation: Review and implement residents' Support Plans, providing assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, mobility, continence management, and laundry.
  • Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor and document residents' vitals, weights, behavior, mobility, safety, and involvement in activities, reporting any changes to the care team.
  • Escort Services: Escort residents to social activity programs, appointments, and dining areas.
  • Communication: Promptly respond to nursing call systems and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma and completion of an accredited Personal Support Worker program that meets legislative standards.
  • Certifications: Medication Administration certification, First Aid, and CPR certification.
  • Experience: Six hundred (600) hours of related experience, including both class time and practical experience, preferably in a geriatric setting.
  • Background Check: All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Gerontology Courses: Courses in gerontology, aging, or dementia are an asset.
