We are seeking a Medication Care Partner to join our team at Aspira Island View Retirement Living. This critical role plays a vital part in the lives of our residents, fostering human connection and igniting warmth.

The Medication Care Partner will administer medication according to legislative requirements and policies, reviewing residents' Support Plans and providing assistance with daily living activities. This includes bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, mobility, continence management, laundry, and vital sign monitoring.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administering medication according to legislative requirements and policies
  • Reviewing residents' Support Plans and providing assistance with daily living activities
  • Monitoring and documenting residents' vitals, weights, behavior, mobility, safety, and involvement in activities
  • Escorting residents to social activity programs, appointments, and dining
  • Promptly answering nursing call systems

Requirements include:

  • High School Diploma and completion of an accredited Personal Support Worker program
  • Medication Administration certification
  • First Aid and CPR certification, with experience in medication administration
  • 600 hours of related experience, including class time and practical experience, preferably in a geriatric setting
  • Passing the Vulnerable Sector Check
