We are seeking a dedicated Medication Care Partner to join our team at Aspira Island View Retirement Living.

Part-time Days 7am-3pm, 37.5 hours bi-weekly & every other weekend

The Medication Care Partner plays a vital role in our community, impacting the lives of residents and fostering a sense of connection and warmth.

As a Medication Care Partner, your typical day will involve:

  • Administering medication according to legislative requirements and policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing residents' Support Plans and providing assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, mobility, continence management, laundry, and sorting.
  • Monitoring and documenting residents' vitals, weights, behavior, mobility, safety, and involvement in activities.
  • Escorting residents to social activity programs, appointments, and dining areas.
  • Promptly responding to nursing call systems.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and completion of an accredited Personal Support Worker program.
  • Medication Administration certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certification, as well as experience with medication administration.
  • Six hundred (600) hours of related experience, including both class time and practical experience, preferably in a geriatric setting.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
