About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Soumah Incorporated. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using TIG welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute welding process specifications to ensure high-quality products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to identify and address any discrepancies.
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Work with a variety of materials, including steel, iron, and heavy metals, to create custom fabrication products.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of welding techniques, including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), to ensure optimal results.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals and deadlines, maintaining a fast-paced and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Ability to work in a noisy industrial environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment required.
