Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our dynamic Recycling team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of technical experience in a recycling, production, or manufacturing environment. Previous experience with high temperature systems, extrusion lines, and/or waste disposal environments is an asset.
Key Responsibilities- Operate recycling machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafe BC regulations and company policies
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on machines and production equipment
- Work collaboratively with the team in a low-contact environment
- Adhere to environmental and health protection concerns, wearing proper PPE at all times
- Report major incidents to the Supervisor or Operations Manager immediately
- Collaborate with Team Leads and Supervisors to troubleshoot production equipment issues
- Assist in Root Cause Analysis to determine immediate causes and develop countermeasures
- Report observations of deviations or defects to management
- Perform other duties or projects assigned by the Facility Manager
- Minimum 1 year of technical or related experience
- Previous experience in a PPE manufacturing or plastics recycling environment is an asset
- Exposure to equipment parts and maintenance processes is an asset
- Exposure to Inventory Control systems/procedures
- Strong work ethic and professional attitude
- Willingness to work in a continuous improvement atmosphere
- High situational awareness
- Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
- Hourly rate: $26-29 CAD
