Job Title: Machine Operator - Recycling

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our dynamic Recycling team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of technical experience in a recycling, production, or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate recycling machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensure compliance with WorkSafe BC regulations and company policies
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on machines and production equipment
  • Work collaboratively with the team in a low-contact environment
  • Adhere to environmental and health protection concerns, wearing proper PPE at all times
  • Report major incidents to the Supervisor or Operations Manager immediately
  • Collaborate with Team Leads and Supervisors to troubleshoot production equipment issues
  • Assist in Root Cause Analysis to determine immediate causes and develop countermeasures
  • Report observations of deviations or defects to management
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of technical experience
  • Previous experience in a PPE manufacturing or plastics recycling environment is an asset
  • Exposure to equipment parts and maintenance processes is beneficial
  • Inventory Control systems and procedures knowledge is an asset
  • Strong work ethic and professional attitude
  • Willingness to work in a continuous improvement atmosphere
  • High situational awareness and problem-solving skills
Compensation:
  • Hourly rate: $26-29 CAD
