The IWK Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in the Adolescent Intensive Services (AIS) Program. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive mental health services to children and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for youth and families
- Provide evidence-based mental health treatment, including group, family, and individual therapy
- Supervise and consult with other staff members and community service providers
- Participate in program development, service evaluation, and parent and staff education
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to provide comprehensive care
- Ph.D./Psy.D. degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university program
- Completion of an APA or CPA accredited Predoctoral Internship in Psychology
- Current registration or eligibility to register with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology
- Minimum 5 years of formal training and clinical experience in child/adolescent mental health
- Demonstrated experience and skills in assessment and treatment of youth and families with mental health and/or addictions issues
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interprofessional care team
