Mental Health Specialist Opportunity

Lifemark Health Group is seeking a skilled Counselling Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team in Halifax, NS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counselling services to clients addressing psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness.
  • Adopt a goal-focused, therapeutic approach for alleviating distress and improving social and occupational functioning.
  • Participate in team conferences to discuss clients' treatment plans and goals.
  • Deliver quality reporting and effective communication with stakeholders.

Licensing and Education:

  • Registered with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists as a Registered Counselling Therapist.
  • Minimum Master's Degree in a counselling-related field.

Requirements:

  • Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of mental health symptoms.
  • Clinical knowledge in areas of grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues.
  • Training and experience with cognitive behavioural therapy approaches.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, solid judgement, and integrity.
