Surveillance Operations Manager, Relief Shift

Job Summary:
As a key member of the Great Canadian Entertainment team, the Dual Shift Manager, Surveillance Operations will oversee surveillance operations at the site level on a shift basis. This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures, motivating and leading by example, and assisting in providing a learning environment while establishing and contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the surveillance operation at the site level on a shift basis, and provide input for employee performance objectives and evaluations.
- Assist with the implementation of surveillance operation strategic plans, and ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
- Schedule and supervise employees, assign shift work assignments, and monitor, document, and report violations, large cash and cash equivalent transactions excluded, and elf-excluded guests, and unauthorized access.
- Maintain logs, update records, store records securely for evidence purposes, and monitor, document, and report on the condition of surveillance facilities and equipment, and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule.
- Review special investigation results or requests as directed, and provide reporting, and liaise and communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
- Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, and employees, and ensure that all employees are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed, and maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of surveillance and/or security experience, and minimum 2 years supervisory experience, with gaming experience preferred.
- Responsible Liquor Service Certification where required.
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.
- Proficient knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Autocad).
- Ability to successfully obtain a Category 1 Gaming License with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
Work Environment Considerations:
The successful candidate will work in a secure back office environment, sitting for long periods of time, watching footage for long periods of time, and working non-traditional hours.
