Maintenance Mechanic I

Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic I is accountable to the Maintenance Supervisor and also has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Production Manager. This role is responsible for all activities relating to the repair, modification and preventive maintenance on production and supporting equipment in order to maintain production and in accordance with the requirements outlined in Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using technical manuals and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner and Spare Parts Inventory technician to ensure timely and effective maintenance activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance maintenance processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations, and respond to emergencies as a member of the ERT (Emergency Response Team).
- Perform other related duties as required to support the maintenance team.
