About the Role

The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator will oversee the maintenance and security of district office locations, ensuring that buildings and surrounding yard areas are safe and well-maintained. This role involves managing the Calgary and Sherwood Park Corporate Facilities, including vendor management related to leased properties, such as property managers and maintenance contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement facility best practices to ensure uniformity across all FLINT Corp facilities.
  • Coordinate and manage repairs and renovations, ensuring high quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement inspection schedules for district office locations.
  • Determine equipment and supply needs for new buildings and manage procurement.
  • Act as a liaison between contractors and FLINT Corp to ensure timely and efficient maintenance.
  • Centralize facilities concerns and act as the main point of contact for resolutions.
  • Schedule and oversee routine and preventative maintenance tasks, responding promptly to emergencies.
  • Manage logistics for moving into new office locations and vacating existing ones, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Coordinate with departments or teams to assess space requirements and plan for office relocations or expansions.
  • Regularly test building security systems and establish additional measures as needed.
  • Assist in planning and executing facility improvement projects.
  • Monitor project progress and manage budgets effectively.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities meet health and safety regulations and lease obligations.
  • Address safety concerns promptly and ensure compliance across all locations.
  • Support Equipment Coordinators in maintaining high standards of facility management.
  • Interact with external vendors or service providers related to leased properties, such as property managers.
  • Liaise with external vendors to manage office services (Calgary and Sherwood Park).
  • Manage office supplies inventory (Calgary/Sherwood Park).
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries (Calgary).
  • Travel between facilities to ensure excellence and consistency.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment maintenance.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a high-performing team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various office locations.
  • The role involves regular travel to locations across all areas FLINT Corp operates in and may occasionally include remote environments.
  • Physical ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and inspections, including lifting and moving equipment.
  • This position may require occasional evening and weekend work to address urgent maintenance issues.
