Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Class 5 Labourer Union Position to join our team at Mauser Packaging Solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage for combined partial positions in the plant, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing downtime.
  • Operate a forklift, if certified, to efficiently move materials and products within the facility.
  • Assist in covering employee absences or vacations, ensuring continuity of work and meeting production targets.
  • Perform various floater duties across the facility, including general cleanup and maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and report any mechanical issues or problems to the lead hand or foreman, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing disruptions.
  • Adhere to all company rules and policies, including wearing required PPE and maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, stack, roll, and position empty steel drums up to 50 pounds, demonstrating physical stamina and strength.
  • Excellent listening and learning skills, with the ability to absorb and implement instructions provided by supervisors and colleagues.
  • Strong reading comprehension and ability to follow written procedures, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Team player with a willingness to fill other positions as needed, demonstrating adaptability and a positive attitude.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with others and maintain a positive working relationship.
