About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Coordinator to join our team at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating research projects across our housing and homelessness research platform, with a focus on engaging people with lived experience in research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all aspects of research projects, including development of project plans, collaboration with stakeholders, and data collection.
  • Work closely with the Principal Investigator to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project timelines.
  • Facilitate communication between people with lived experience and family members in the stakeholder network.
  • Coordinate project meetings, briefings, and stakeholder consultations.
  • Prepare materials, monitor timelines and budgets, and support data organization and analysis.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as Psychology, Public Health, or Education, with coursework focused on mental health, mental health services, program evaluation, and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Minimum of two years of experience conducting research projects, including research coordination components.
  • Experience conducting health service research projects in a hospital environment, including monitoring, documentation, meeting project deadlines, and achieving deliverables.
  • Experience conducting research that engages people with lived experience and family members throughout the stages of a study.
  • Advanced understanding of the issues facing people with mental health challenges when accessing housing and services for mental health and substance use concerns.
  • Training in working directly with service users is optimal.

  • Proactive attitude and willingness to strive for continuous improvement.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, NVivo, SPSS, REDCap, and other relevant software.
  • Superior communication skills, including ability to explain complex issues in plain language.
