Job Summary
The University Health Network is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our research team as a Clinical Research Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, coordinating and administering clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and screen study participants, obtain informed consent, and coordinate patient visit schedules
- Plan, implement, and coordinate all aspects of study visits, including scheduling, imaging scans, and sample collection
- Implement and coordinate data collection and source documentation, adhering to UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines
- Execute study-related administrative tasks, such as regulatory document submissions and database entry
- Liaise with CROs, sponsors, and external stakeholders
- Prepare for monitoring visits and audits, and contribute to protocol development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a health or science-related field or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical research experience and patient contact
- Prior experience in clinical trial coordination and administration
- Experience with research regulatory submissions is an asset
- Phlebotomy certification and TDG certification are preferred
- Knowledge of IATA shipping regulations and laboratory procedures is preferred
- Previous experience with neurological clinical trials and PI-initiated trials is preferred
- Knowledge of research regulations and guidelines, such as ICH/GCP, Tri-Council Policy, Declaration of Helsinki, and FDA CFR and Health Canada TPD
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent decision-making, listening, and conflict resolution skills
