Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Langdon Hall Relais & Chateaux. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for cooking staff.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
  • Create new recipes and menus to ensure culinary excellence.
  • Train and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and banquets.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation.
  • Plan and implement menus to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure high standards of food safety.
Work Environment

Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead by example.
