Position Overview

As a Surveillance Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the continuous monitoring and assessment of casino activities, ensuring the safety and security of assets, employees, and guests. Your role will involve regular observation of the gaming area while providing essential support to various departments in safeguarding company resources. Your keen attention to detail and strong observational skills will be crucial as you conduct assessments, prepare reports, and maintain logs that may serve as evidence in legal proceedings involving patrons or staff.

In your capacity as a Supervisor, you will lead a team of surveillance personnel in a shift-based environment, promoting a secure and productive workplace. Your authoritative presence in the Surveillance Room will be essential for managing staff and engaging with internal stakeholders while delivering outstanding service. You will consistently monitor gaming operations and effectively plan, organize, and direct the shift's overall activities by assigning tasks, briefing staff, and overseeing incidents as they arise. Compliance with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations, as well as all relevant laws, policies, and procedures, will be a key responsibility.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A secondary diploma, with preference given to those with a Post-Secondary education in Law and Security.

• At least one (1) year of experience in a security-related field or gaming roles, with a preference for supervisory experience of one (1) year or more.

• Strong analytical, observational, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in computer applications.

• Previous experience in casino surveillance or a related field is an asset.

• Ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant (license) with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

All candidates must be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.

• Secure back-office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting and viewing footage, with non-traditional working hours.
