CAD Technician for Renewable Energy Projects

Your Role:

As a Site AutoCAD Drafter, you will be instrumental in creating detailed 2D and 3D designs for road infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include validating survey data provided by field teams, ensuring optimal routing, and performing necessary calculations for compliance and execution.

Are You Ready to Make an Impact?

  • Possess a professional diploma in drafting (DEP), civil engineering technology (CET), or a related field;
  • Hold any required technical certifications or diplomas as per local regulations;
  • Bring 3 to 5 years of experience in the construction sector;
  • Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Google Earth, Bluebeam, and MS Office;
  • Familiarity with AutoTURN and ArcGIS software is a plus;
  • Maintain a valid driver's license;
  • Exhibit strong teamwork abilities and effective communication skills;
  • Have a keen attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects;
  • Experience working on remote sites is advantageous.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Create 2D and 3D designs for upcoming solar and wind farm initiatives;
  • Conduct quantity assessments;
  • Collaborate closely with the Estimation team and project Engineers;
  • Prepare sketches and notes while performing electronic data collection;
  • Process field data, coordinate with field personnel, and liaise with the CAD team;
  • Work alongside the Superintendent and Foreperson to update road modeling and optimization as needed;
  • Carry out physical site surveys using various tools and equipment;
  • Operate GPS and robotic surveying devices, utilizing road construction software as required;
  • Manage the assembly of project components as necessary;
  • Conduct surveys for as-built elements as required;
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
