Director of Primary Health Care Operations

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director to lead our Primary Health Care operations in the Eastern Zone. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role is accountable for providing strategic and operational leadership to various professional healthcare disciplines.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational leadership for an integrated approach to health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease management.
- Work with and influence services and program changes in services encompassed by PHC, including mental health, addictions, academic family medicine, community health, public health, ambulatory care, and continuing care.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the delivery of primary healthcare services.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to build capacity and improve patient outcomes.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with healthcare stakeholders, including family physicians and external agencies.
- Develop and manage budgets, resources, and human capital to achieve operational goals.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in healthcare leadership, strategic planning, and operational management. The ideal candidate will have:
- A baccalaureate degree from a health discipline or health science field.
- A master's degree in Business Administration, Health Services Administration, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a healthcare or primary care setting.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in management and administration in a healthcare or community setting.
- Experience in planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating primary healthcare and community-based initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability in business plan management, resource allocation, and budget preparation.
- Knowledge of disease prevention, health promotion, chronic disease management, and population health.
- Strong leadership, group management, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to assess and anticipate future needs, potential problems, directions, and development for all aspects of strategic, financial, operational, and human resource management.
