About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Director, Primary Health Care to provide strategic and operational leadership to various professional healthcare disciplines. This role is accountable for providing an integrated approach to health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease management.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a baccalaureate degree from a health discipline or health science field, and a master's degree in business administration or health services administration. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a healthcare setting, including 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience, is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational leadership for an integrated approach to health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease management
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve healthcare services
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to build capacity and improve patient outcomes
  • Develop and sustain coalitions, alliances, and partnerships with healthcare stakeholders
What We Offer

The successful candidate will be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

The hourly rate for this position is $53.91 - $71.63.
