Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive taxation and financial planning assistance to IG Wealth Advisors, addressing inquiries and concerns via various communication channels.
  • Draft detailed reports based on thorough analysis for intricate client scenarios, offering insights on taxation, estate, and financial planning prospects, strategies, and challenges.
  • Evaluate financial strategies for complex client profiles, especially those related to business proprietors and private corporations.
  • Operate autonomously and conduct meetings or conference calls with clients and their advisors regarding tax and estate planning matters.
  • Articulate concepts and facilitate ongoing education sessions within the Advanced Financial Planning team.
  • Provide guidance and training to other departments within IG Wealth Management on advanced taxation, estate planning, and financial planning topics, including reviewing corporate materials and contributing to client publications.
  • Represent IG Wealth Management's financial planning philosophy to media, public forums, and professional associations.
  • Achieve the Certified Financial Planner ("CFP") designation with FP Canada if not already acquired.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in advanced taxation and estate planning, with a preference for additional industry-related education such as the CPA Canada in-depth tax course or the Trust and Estate Practitioner designation.
  • A completed post-secondary university degree along with a professional accounting designation.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, staying informed about business trends and legal changes.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work with minimal supervision and adjust to evolving circumstances.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong public speaking and training competencies.
  • Proficiency in PC-based tools within a Windows environment.

Candidates will be evaluated to determine the suitable career level within the organization based on qualifications, including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other relevant business and organizational criteria.
