Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Helper to join our team at ESSKAY HOMES INC. As a key member of our construction team, you will assist in the safe and efficient completion of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Clean and maintain heavy equipment, including cranes and other machinery.
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and other site equipment.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move, and place plant machinery and materials.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Operate cranes mounted on boats or barges to lift, move, and place equipment and materials.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) training.
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires working at heights, in dusty environments, and in fast-paced conditions.
