We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Assistant to join our team at ESSKAY HOMES INC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials. You will also be involved in the maintenance and operation of cranes, as well as the assembly and dismantling of scaffolding and other equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to lift heavy loads, work at heights, and be exposed to dusty conditions.

In addition to your technical skills, you will be expected to possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials
  • Maintain and operate cranes, scaffolding, and other equipment
  • Assist in the assembly and dismantling of scaffolding and other equipment
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Lift heavy loads and work at heights
  • Be exposed to dusty conditions

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) training
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
