Job Title: Community Residential Worker
Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary
We are looking for a caring and committed Community Residential Worker to provide vital assistance and support to individuals within the community. The working hours are divided into two shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. These positions are temporary full-time roles with the possibility of becoming permanent based on participant needs.
Role Responsibilities
- Support participants with daily living tasks, including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Facilitate participation in community activities and promote life skills development.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance participants' quality of life.
- Assist with mobility and transportation requirements.
- Observe and report any significant changes in participants' health or behavior.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure participants' well-being.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in disability support or a related area is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated empathy and patience when interacting with individuals in need.
- Supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Physical capability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds is required.
