About this role: We are seeking a skilled Paralegal Specialist to join our team at Taylor MacLellan Cochrane. As a Paralegal Specialist, you will be responsible for co-ordinating administrative services, drafting contracts, and performing clerical duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate administrative services, including maintaining filing systems and preparing documents.
- Draft contracts, prepare promissory notes, and draw up wills, mortgages, and other legal documents.
- Perform clerical duties, such as data entry and document scanning.
- Prepare wills, real estate transactions, and other legal documents, court reports, and affidavits.
- Draft legal correspondence, including email and letter templates.
Requirements:
- Certificate or diploma in a related field, such as law or paralegal studies.
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field, including experience with legal software applications and MS Office.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
