About the Role:

  • Provide patient-centered care within the scope of practice, prioritizing individualized attention and compassion.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Adhere to established hospital policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Assist in patient assessment and care planning, leveraging expertise to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Mentor new staff and students, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Support best practices for safe and effective care, embracing a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications:

  • RPN diploma and registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • BLS certification required, with a focus on maintaining current skills and knowledge.
  • Experience in Oncology and general medicine nursing, with a strong foundation in IV therapy and health teaching.
  • Ability to assess and manage complex medical conditions, applying critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to building strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
