Position Overview:

The Childcare Program Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Recreation Section's childminding and preschool initiatives. This position involves supervising children in our care, delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a safe environment that prioritizes the well-being of children, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the childminding space.

Key Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent education.
  • Certification in Early Childhood Education Level 1.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Proven proficiency in verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Intermediate First Aid Certification.
  • Dedication to the City's Core Values.

Union Affiliation:

This position is affiliated with the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 417.

Compensation:

The hourly wage ranges from $20.34 to $21.54.

Work Schedule:

Work hours will be scheduled as needed, with no minimum guarantee. Flexibility is required for evenings, weekends, weekdays, early mornings, and potential split shifts based on operational needs.
