At Summerwood Daycare Inc., we are seeking a skilled Childcare Assistant to join our team. As a Childcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of our children, ensuring their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. Your responsibilities will include engaging children in activities, preparing snacks, and assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs. You will also be responsible for submitting written observations on children and attending staff meetings to discuss progress and problems. Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage children in activities, including storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
