Job Title: Childcare Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Childcare Assistant to join our team at Learning for Life Childcare Ltd. As a Childcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of our childcare program, ensuring the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs that promote child development
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Support for Diverse Groups:
  • Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
  • Provides support for persons with disabilities, including mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities
  • Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities
Work Environment:
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
