About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Day Service Worker to join our team at Ponderosa Lodge in Kamloops, BC. This casual opportunity offers rotating day shifts, perfect for those seeking flexibility and variety in their work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual or group leisure/recreation programs such as arts, socio-cultural events, crafts, sports, music, cooking, gardening, and exercises.
  • Set up and organize furnishings and equipment for programs and special events.
  • Accompany clients to programs, teach program techniques, oversee client participation, and report problems/changes to the supervisor.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL) tasks such as toileting, bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Report any concerns or problems related to ADL care (e.g., skin breakdown) to the supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Grade 12, completion of Home Support Resident Care Attendant Program, experience in a variety of recreation programs, two years recent related experience; or a combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
  • Food Safe Certificate.
