We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Day Service Worker to join our team at North Hills Care Centre in Kamloops. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients.
Your Role:As an Adult Day Service Worker, you will work under the supervision of the Adult Day Centre Program Supervisor and within a client-centered model. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Meeting the needs of an assigned group of clients, assisting them in carrying out established programs and activities of daily living tasks.
- Implementing and participating in activation, life skills, recreational, and social activities designed to meet the needs of clients, providing demonstrations as required.
- Adapting and modifying activities to meet the special needs of clients, setting up and organizing furnishings and equipment for programs and special events, accompanying clients to programs, teaching activity techniques, and overseeing participation while reporting any changes to the supervisor.
This is a casual opportunity with possible day shifts from Tuesday to Friday, 08:30-16:30, on an as-needed basis. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internally posted jobs, including temporary and permanent opportunities.
