**Job Summary**

The Avon Maitland District School Board is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide administrative support to our schools on a daily occasional basis.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for students, staff, and community members.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the school office, including managing student information and staff absence systems.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with school staff, students, and community members.
  • Stay up-to-date with Board-specific programs and technologies, including ASPEN and Smartfind Express.
  • Work collaboratively as a member of a team to achieve school goals and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and community members through excellent written and oral communication skills.

**Requirements**

  • One year college-level certificate or diploma in office administration or related field of study, or equivalent experience working in an office setting.
  • Computer literacy and keyboarding skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of GSuite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to acquire skills in Board-specific programs.
  • Access to a reliable method of transportation and ability to attend specific schools.
  • Availability to accept assignments on a casual basis during the day and with short notice.

**Working Conditions**

  • Call-in basis, Monday to Friday from September to June.
  • $19.45 per hour + vacation pay.
