The Guest Services Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. This role is essential in fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere, reflecting the high standards of Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor and facilitate an efficient check-in process.
- Address guest inquiries and requests throughout their stay, aiming for optimal satisfaction through various communication channels.
- Resolve guest concerns and complaints professionally, collaborating with the management team as necessary.
- Maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times.
- Assist in emergency protocols when required.
- Perform seasonal maintenance tasks, such as snow removal and ice management in common areas.
- Handle reservation inquiries, complete bookings, and provide current information on rates and special packages.
- Prepare for guest arrivals, ensuring that specific requests are accommodated to the best of our capabilities.
- Deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
- Engage with local attraction representatives to stay informed about offerings and updates.
- Provide guests with accurate information regarding the lodge, surrounding areas, and available attractions.
- Assist guests in booking tours, activities, and dining reservations.
- Process guest check-outs, ensuring accurate billing and payment handling.
- Complete daily logs and maintain accurate records.
- Manage incoming calls through the hotel switchboard, directing them appropriately.
- Prepare cash-out reports at the end of each shift.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Bell Person Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet guests, assist with luggage, and provide door assistance as needed.
- Facilitate check-in processes and escort guests to their accommodations.
- Offer information about the resort and local attractions.
- Address guest requests and issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Assist with transportation and tour bookings as required.
- Maintain lobby supplies and amenities, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Keep the lobby and entrance areas clean and presentable.
- Manage seasonal maintenance tasks, including snow shoveling and pathway salting.
- Assist guests with mobility needs to ensure their comfort.
- Support front desk operations during busy check-in and check-out periods.
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of shared facilities.
- Carry out other tasks as needed to enhance the guest experience.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Pro Serve Liquor Certificate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for customer service; prior experience is advantageous.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
- Able to perform well under pressure.
- Familiarity with Opera PMS, Microsoft Office, and Outlook is beneficial.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and remain composed in emergencies.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
