Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Pelican Events & Catering. This is a permanent position that offers a flexible work schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Development: Formulate and implement marketing policies.
  • Administrative Support: Handle various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Community Engagement: Address inquiries from the business community regarding development opportunities.
  • Market Research: Conduct surveys and analyze consumer buying habits and preferences.
  • Comparative Analysis: Research and evaluate marketing strategies for industrial and commercial products.
  • Client Advisory: Provide guidance to clients on advertising and promotional strategies.
  • Material Preparation: Assist in creating brochures, reports, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
  • Media Relations: Initiate and maintain contact with media outlets.
  • Analytical Studies: Conduct in-depth marketing studies to assess market trends.
  • Survey Design: Create market research questionnaires.
  • Marketing Portfolio: Develop a comprehensive portfolio of marketing materials.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct studies to evaluate potential marketing initiatives.
  • Online Marketing: Manage online marketing efforts, including E-commerce and website promotions.
  • Strategic Development: Formulate and execute effective marketing strategies.
  • Business Planning: Develop and implement business plans.
  • Client Negotiation: Negotiate catering services and facility usage with clients.
  • Product Promotion: Advertise and promote products and services effectively.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of CSS and Simply Accounting.
  • Familiarity with electronic mail systems.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and marketing.
  • Background in food and beverage industry preferred.
