About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team at CKS Carpet and Flooring Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality flooring installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise markings.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as prepare flooring plans and scheduling.
  • Installation: Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors, ensuring a seamless and professional finish.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, and prepare floors for installations.
  • Removal and Preparation: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, and perform direct glue-down carpet installations.
Work Environment

As a Flooring Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying locations, including residential and commercial settings. You will be exposed to dusty and noisy conditions, and will be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) on a regular basis.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in flooring installation
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling
