About the Job

CKS Carpet and Flooring Ltd. is seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Flooring Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing various types of flooring, including carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered and prepare them for installation by measuring, marking, and cleaning as needed.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure and cut flooring materials to the correct size and shape for installation.
  • Install Flooring: Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Repair and Maintain Flooring: Inspect and repair damaged flooring, and perform routine maintenance to ensure floors remain in good condition.
  • Work in a Variety of Environments: Work in various locations, including residential and commercial settings, and in different weather conditions.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in flooring installation.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work that requires bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift and handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide support to colleagues as needed.
