About the Role

Craft Flooring Limited is seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered and prepare them for installation by measuring, marking, and cleaning as necessary.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure and cut underlay, underpadding, and flooring materials to ensure accurate and efficient installation.
  • Install Flooring: Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Inspect and Repair: Inspect installed flooring for defects and repair or replace as necessary.
  • Estimate and Plan: Estimate costs and materials required for each installation and prepare detailed plans and schedules for each project.
  • Remove Existing Flooring: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants to prepare surfaces for new installations.
  • Install on Walls and Other Surfaces: Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces as required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to lift, bend, and kneel regularly, and work in a variety of locations.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Work Setting: This role involves working in various locations, including residential and commercial settings.
  • Work Conditions: This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
