About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cheese Production Specialist to join our team at Chinook Cheese Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating machinery to process and package food products, performing corrective machine adjustments, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery: Safely operate machinery to process and package food products, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production processes.
  • Perform machine adjustments: Perform corrective machine adjustments to maintain optimal production levels and prevent equipment downtime.
  • Record production information: Accurately record production information, including production levels, quality control data, and equipment performance.
  • Clean and maintain equipment: Clean and maintain equipment and immediate work areas to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Inform supervisor of issues: Inform your supervisor of any mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities that may impact production.
  • Set up and adjust equipment: Set up and adjust processing and packaging machines to ensure optimal production levels and product quality.
  • Check products for defects: Regularly check products for defects and ensure conformance to company standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work setting: Food processing plant.
  • Personal suitability: Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
