About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Labourer to join our team at Harwood Lumber LTD. As a Labourer, you will play a crucial role in the operation of our plywood and veneer plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist other processing workers in the operation of various woodworking machines and equipment, ensuring efficient and safe production.
  • Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines, maintaining a smooth workflow and adhering to quality standards.
  • Load chips, sulphur, and processing materials, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Sort, pile, and transport wood products, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing, minimizing waste and optimizing resources.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Repair plywood and veneer mechanically or manually, ensuring high-quality products.
  • Operate and tend equipment to glue, press, trim, sand, and splice veneer sheets, meeting production targets.
Requirements
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
  • Experience an asset
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma

  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
