Your Opportunity:

Alberta Health Services is dedicated to providing exceptional health care services to the community. As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering specialized rehabilitation support within a collaborative team environment. This position focuses on enhancing the quality of life for clients through tailored therapy programs in a client-centered approach.

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse team of health professionals, including audiologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, recreation therapists, and speech-language pathologists. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the supervising health care professionals.
  • Participating in the assessment and evaluation of client progress and outcomes.
  • Engaging in client education and providing support to families and caregivers.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and communication with the health care team.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Therapy Assistant, you will be expected to:

  • Contribute to the delivery of effective rehabilitation services across various stages of health care, from wellness to recovery.
  • Exhibit professionalism and uphold ethical standards in all interactions with clients and team members.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, enhancing both personal and team competencies.
  • Utilize your interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

A diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training is essential for this position.
