As a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:
  • Directing and coordinating the commissioning and completion of all mechanical and electrical systems within the building.
  • Planning the M&E aspects of a significant construction project and collaborating with the Project Manager and Scheduler to inform construction timelines.
  • Leading M&E project discussions with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the continuous advancement of building systems throughout the construction phase.
  • Evaluating M&E modifications proposed by architects and M&E subconsultants to confirm adherence to project specifications and assessing subcontractor pricing for these modifications.
  • Supervising the implementation of the subcontractor's M&E quality assurance program.
  • Conducting design and constructability assessments for mechanical and electrical systems, possessing a solid understanding of M&E building regulations and standards.
  • Fostering a collaborative environment and offering mentorship to junior M&E staff members.
Is this position a fit for you?
  • You hold a degree or diploma related to construction, or possess eight to ten years of M&E construction experience, or a comparable mix of technical training and practical experience.
  • You have a solid understanding of scheduling, project management, and contract management software.
  • You can swiftly identify issues, assess alternative solutions, and implement effective resolutions while managing multiple construction processes.
  • You are proficient in software applications such as MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, Adobe, and Primavera.
