Instrumentation Mechanic Specialist

Our Cariboo Pulp facility, located in Quesnel, BC, is currently in need of a dedicated individual for the position of Journeyperson Instrumentation Mechanic/Technologist.
In this role within the Electrical and Instrumentation department, the chosen candidate will work collaboratively with various divisions and report directly to the E&I Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with a diverse range of instruments such as pressure transducers, weightometers, and flow controllers, ensuring effective communication with the DCS system.
- Oversee the maintenance of instrumentation equipment and conduct regular troubleshooting in the field.
- Ensure instrument readings are consistently accurate and dependable.
- Perform Delta V programming and hardware upkeep, along with preventive maintenance and repairs of site analyzers.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Fulfill any additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Journeyperson Instrumentation Mechanic or Instrumentation Technologist.
- Relevant industrial experience with the capacity to work occasional overtime and weekends.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation equipment effectively.
- Experience with computer systems for record-keeping and documentation purposes.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Capability to understand complex instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
