About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Mechanic/Technologist to join our Electrical and Instrumentation department at Cariboo Pulp and Paper in Quesnel, BC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair of instrumentation equipment, including pressure transducers, weightometers, flow controllers, and level and temperature sensors.
  • Ensure all systems are wired to communicate with the DCS and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement procedures for maintenance and repair of instrumentation equipment.
  • Conduct regular field and programming troubleshooting/adjustments of equipment.
  • Ensure that instrument readings are reliable and accurate at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform Delta V programming and hardware maintenance.
  • Perform PM and repair of various site analyzers.
Requirements
  • Journeyperson Instrumentation Mechanic or Instrumentation Technologist certification.
  • Industrial experience with instrumentation equipment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Experience using a computer for record keeping and documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
