Instrumentation Technician

Our Cariboo Pulp facility is actively seeking a dedicated individual for the position of Journeyperson Instrumentation Mechanic/Technologist.
In this role, you will be an integral part of the Electrical and Instrumentation team, collaborating with various departments and reporting directly to the E&I Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse range of instruments such as pressure transducers, weightometers, and flow controllers, ensuring effective communication with the DCS system.
- Oversee the maintenance of instrumentation equipment and execute regular field troubleshooting tasks.
- Ensure instrument readings are consistently accurate and dependable.
- Engage in Delta V programming and hardware upkeep, along with preventive maintenance and repair of site analyzers.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Journeyperson Instrumentation Mechanic or Instrumentation Technologist.
- Experience in an industrial setting with the flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Familiarity with computer systems for record-keeping and documentation purposes.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Capability to understand complex instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
