Job Summary

The Digital Messaging Manager will be responsible for supporting the Journey Managers with all activities related to digital campaigns, publishing, digital user experiences, and digital sales.

The successful candidate will be exposed to several different teams, offering many developmental opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supports the Journey Managers with all activities related to digital campaigns, publishing, digital user experiences, and digital sales.
  2. Assists the Campaign Enablement team with investigating any pre-production or post-production errors or issues.
  3. Monitors and ensures compliance with relevant CASL, anti-spam, and privacy regulations.
  4. Works with channel partners to find opportunities for collaboration and optimization, including retargeting, deep-linking, and optimization of campaigns for an omnichannel experience.
  5. Partners with Analytics, Data Science, and Marketing Science to provide full-funnel channel measurement, including integrations of lower-funnel data sources like Adobe Analytics and Authenticated channel metrics.
  6. Makes recommendations based on key learnings for channel optimizations, including email triggers, resolving customer pain points, and the integration of new vendors and omnichannel opportunities.
  7. Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  8. Champions a high-performance environment and demonstrates a commitment to Scotiabank's values: accountability, passion, integrity, and respect. Delivers results in accordance with behavioral competencies.
  9. Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank's risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicates and models the Bank's risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.
  10. Creates an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
  11. Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment. Uses a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vision/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.
  12. Maintains a positive working relationship with business partners to facilitate a collaborative working environment where learnings from one team can be easily applied to another.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. 3+ years' experience with digital marketing platforms such as Responsys, Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager, and Adobe Journey Optimizer.
  2. 3+ years' experience in leading and coaching a high-performing team.
  3. 2+ years of experience with an email platform migration.
  4. 1 year of experience with Adobe Analytics.
  5. 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint).
Preferred Skills

French and/or Spanish language skills are preferred.

  8. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills with a thorough understanding of how to communicate effectively across one-to-one marketing channels.
  9. Ability to analyze results to help make informed decisions and program enhancements over time.
  10. High level of professionalism, and ability to work calmly in difficult and high-pressure situations.
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  12. Data-minded but with an eye for aesthetics.
  13. Comfortable prioritizing tasks and managing multiple strands of work with a willingness to take on additional projects as needed.
Education/Experience

Marketing accreditation or four-year degree [Marketing, Business, or related field preferred].
