We are seeking a committed individual to become part of our team as an Underground Construction Technician. At Cameco, we prioritize diversity and inclusivity within our workforce, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support underground construction operations
  • Operate mobile equipment in underground settings
  • Utilize a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) when necessary

Qualifications and Requirements:

Essential:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of applicable industrial experience
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Capability to interpret blueprints
  • Outstanding safety and attendance history
  • Willingness to work on a rotational basis and travel by aircraft

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in underground settings
  • Journeyperson carpenter certification

Employment Conditions:

  • Substance testing is mandatory

Preference will be given to qualified internal candidates and residents of the northern regions of Saskatchewan. Candidates for safety-sensitive roles must successfully complete a Substance Test, which includes marijuana.
