We are seeking a committed individual to become part of our team as an Underground Construction Technician. At Cameco, we prioritize diversity and inclusivity within our workforce, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support underground construction operations
- Operate mobile equipment in underground settings
- Utilize a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) when necessary
Qualifications and Requirements:
Essential:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- 1-2 years of applicable industrial experience
- Strong communication abilities
- Capability to interpret blueprints
- Outstanding safety and attendance history
- Willingness to work on a rotational basis and travel by aircraft
Preferred:
- Prior experience in underground settings
- Journeyperson carpenter certification
Employment Conditions:
- Substance testing is mandatory
Preference will be given to qualified internal candidates and residents of the northern regions of Saskatchewan. Candidates for safety-sensitive roles must successfully complete a Substance Test, which includes marijuana.
