Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wholesale Buyer to join our team at ONE WEST AUTO LTD. as a key member of our procurement department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Maintain Relationships with Suppliers

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady supply of high-quality merchandise.

Negotiate Prices and Terms

Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers to optimize our purchasing power.

Manage Inventory and Stock Levels

Oversee the distribution of merchandise to our outlets and maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand.

Provide Excellent Customer Service

Ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Review Requirements and Determine Purchasing Needs

Review the requirements of our business and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.

Select and Purchase Merchandise

Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring that it meets our quality and pricing standards.

Supervise and Train Other Buyers

Supervise and train other buyers to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.

Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, trade shows, and product design events to ensure that we are offering the latest and greatest products to our customers.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Work Setting

Wholesale establishment/store.

Computer and Technology Knowledge

Database software.

Specialization/Experience

Buying, product selection, negotiation.

Transportation/Travel Information

Valid driver's license.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Fast-paced environment, attention to detail.

Personal Suitability

Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, judgment, organized, team player, analytical.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years.
