Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wholesale Buyer to join our team at PhoneBox. As a Wholesale Buyer, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms, and overseeing the distribution of merchandise to our outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement: Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate stock levels and oversee the distribution of merchandise to our outlets.
  • Market Analysis: Review requirements of our establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Merchandise Selection: Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring it meets our quality and pricing standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise the work of other buyers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in spreadsheet software, such as MS Excel, and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, initiative, judgment, organized, and a team player.
