Reporting to the Regional Go-To-Market Manager, the Senior Market Optimization Analyst will play a crucial role in refining pricing and promotional strategies to enhance sales and profitability through the analysis of extensive data sets and scenario modeling. This position is vital to our growth, providing support to the Sales team and cross-functional groups in developing robust pricing and promotional recommendations for execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and recommend regional pricing strategies that align with national guidelines to achieve EBIT objectives.
- Utilize elasticity metrics to evaluate the impact of price adjustments on volume and margin.
- Ensure accurate pricing submissions to customers and stakeholders.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive event library to assess the impact of promotions on volume and profit ROI.
- Assist the Regional Go-To-Market Manager and Strategic Account Manager in optimizing promotional expenditures by leveraging insights from promotional ROI.
- Monitor and evaluate specific initiatives to ensure financial success across various projects.
- Contribute analytical support during monthly business reviews, offering actionable insights regarding market dynamics and competitive positioning.
- Conduct thorough market research to uncover trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Assess competitor activities and market conditions to inform strategic decisions.
- Measure the success and KPIs of innovation launches from both internal and competitive perspectives.
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to create and maintain dashboards and scorecards that track performance for channel leads and cross-functional teams.
- Train team members on the effective use of analytical tools.
- Ensure timely delivery of tools, KPI reports, and data insights.
- Maintain promotional tools and grids specific to channels.
- Participate in ad hoc pricing and promotional projects as needed.
Qualifications / Experience / Education
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar capacity, preferably within the Consumer-Packaged Goods sector.
- Expertise in financial planning and analysis.
- Proficiency in pricing and promotional strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI, Canadian grocery data platforms (IRI, Dunnhumby & LDIA), SQL, and Nielsen Data is advantageous.
- Proficient user of Excel and Power BI.
- Familiarity with syndicated data platforms such as Nielsen, Dunnhumby, IRI, and Precima.

Compensation: The budgeted range for this position is between $75,000 and $97,000, taking into account various factors such as experience, education, and qualifications. Base pay is one component of the total rewards package at Arterra Wines Canada.
The compensation range will be aligned with qualifications, including experience, education, and other relevant factors.
