Lead Process Technician

Overview:

We are in search of seasoned mineral processing technicians with over a decade of experience to become part of our team, focusing on the initiation and scaling of a mineral processing operation. In this capacity, you will leverage your expertise and practical knowledge to ensure a safe and effective startup while providing guidance and support to less experienced operators. This role is structured as a contract position with competitive hourly compensation, rotational work schedule, and living allowances.

Key Competencies:

Primary Responsibilities:

· Execute processing operations tasks during the commissioning phase, assisting personnel in the startup and scaling of mineral processing machinery.

· Observe and assess plant equipment and systems to identify and rectify malfunctions, ensuring optimal operation of all systems.

· Analyze process data and report any discrepancies to management to reduce operational delays and equipment failures.

· Diagnose process challenges and collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement effective solutions.

· Review and revise standard operating procedures as necessary.

· Ensure that new team members receive comprehensive training and possess the necessary skills to perform their roles safely and effectively.

· Mentor operators in their daily tasks.

· Inspire team members and resolve issues to achieve operational goals.

· Foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the workplace.

· Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and environmental protection laws.

Position Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in process operations within a mineral or chemical processing environment.
  • Proven experience with mineral processing techniques and systems is essential.
  • Experience in milling operations is considered advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A robust work ethic with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Excellent mechanical understanding.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
